Adam Roston is the CEO of IAC Publishing, a digital media operating group that includes IAC’s premium publishers About.com, The Daily Beast, Investopedia and Dictionary.com. As one of the largest publishers on the web, IAC Publishing reaches more than 100 million monthly users in the US alone.
Prior to this role, Mr. Roston was the Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for IAC, where he oversaw M&A and investing activity across IAC's portfolio of 150 digital brands. During his tenure at IAC, Mr. Roston has been instrumental in several high-profile strategic transactions, including the acquisition of About.com as a core component to IAC’s focus on digital publishing, and IAC’s entry into the online education space with its purchase of Tutor.com.
Earlier in his career, he held several corporate development roles at Microsoft, where he drove more than a dozen successful strategic technology acquisitions across North America, Europe and Asia, and played a key role in M&A for Microsoft’s enterprise software division. Mr. Roston started his career in M&A investment banking at Merrill Lynch based in London and Palo Alto. He holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego.
