Ask.com Appoints Mary Osako as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications

OAKLAND, Calif., May 9, 2007 - Ask.com(R), a wholly-owned business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), today announced that Mary Osako has joined as senior vice president of Corporate Communications. As SVP, Osako is responsible for setting the global communications strategy for the Company and driving all aspects of public relations, including strategic planning, media relations, reputation management, internal communications and industry analyst relations.

 

"Mary's extensive industry expertise, as well as her deep knowledge of global communications, will be an invaluable asset as we continue to further cement Ask.com as a key player in search," said Jim Lanzone, CEO of Ask.com. "We are thrilled to have Mary leading the communications charge."

Prior to joining Ask.com, Osako served as vice president of Corporate Communications for Yahoo! Inc., most recently overseeing international and global policy communications efforts. During her tenure at Yahoo!, Osako also oversaw public relations efforts for Yahoo!'s communications products, online communities, mobile and broadband businesses, and managed communications on a wide range of policy matters. Prior to Yahoo!, Osako served in key communications roles at Sprint Corp., managing the company's consumer and wireless Internet media relations efforts. During her career, Osako also worked with a diverse range of clients, including The Walt Disney Company, the Los Angeles Music Center and SunAmerica, Inc.

Osako received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
