Houston Texans Announce Launch of Ticketmaster's Ticket Forwarding For Season Ticket Holders

Tuesday, August 12, 2003 - 04:00

The Houston Texans and Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company, announced today that they will now offer Ticket Forwarding, allowing season ticket holders to maximize use of their tickets by forwarding tickets they are unable to use to another person electronically. Once the tickets have been forwarded through email, the user is able to download and print his/her ticket(s) at the click of a mouse. This new integrated technology foundation features real-time barcode authentication combined with ticketFast™ electronic delivery, providing a secure, easy-to-use service for fans.

"We are committed to providing our season ticket holders with the very best technology and the very best experience," said John Schriever / Vice President of Ticket Operations, Houston Texans. "Ticket Forwarding is one more way we can add a new level of convenience to the season subscriber experience, and enhance the value of their ticket packages."

To use this new system, season ticket holders can log-on to, select the ticket(s) that they are unable to use or would simply like to give to a friend or business associate and enter the email address of the recipient. After their forwarding is confirmed, the event tickets are delivered immediately to the specified email account, as an Adobe Acrobat file. The new ticket holder simply opens the Adobe file and prints the event tickets from his/her computer printer. When the fan arrives at Reliant Stadium, the forwarded ticketFast ticket(s) are authenticated using Ticketmaster's proprietary Access Manager barcode system.

The Texans are offering the Ticket Forwarding service free of charge to all season ticket holders for the first two preseason games against the Denver Broncos on August 9th and against the San Diego Chargers on August 23rd.

"These new initiatives will provide the Texans season ticket holders with a combination of the best possible ticketing services available," said David Willis / General Manager, Ticketmaster. "These services are all about making it easier and more convenient for fans to facilitate transactions in a safe, secure environment."
