Designed to make shopping on TV as easy as possible, this innovative application will feature one-screen technology to create a user-friendly interactive shopping interface on viewers' TVs. The application developed by GoldPocket will allow viewers to purchase items presented on HSN directly through their set-top boxes.

All iTV viewers with an existing HSN account will be able to order a wide variety of products through the application, including the item currently being shown during the live broadcast, as well as the two items immediately preceding it. Additionally, HSN's daily "Today's Special" will be available for remote control purchase throughout the entire day.

The interactive application will have the same order customization capabilities -- i.e. selection of size, color, quantity and features -- currently available through traditional ordering methods. Order confirmations will appear on the TV screen following each purchase.

"HSN originated the business of TV shopping and is uniquely positioned to launch this amazing 'click & buy' technology to TV shoppers," states Marty Nealon, president of HSN - U.S. "We look forward to the tremendous business potential that iTV offers both HSN and our cable partners, as well as the unparalleled customer service it can provide to our millions of viewers. After careful review of the interactive technologies arena, we decided to partner with GoldPocket based on their innovative open-architecture technology products and strong track record for creating high-end interactive applications."

"We are delighted to be working with HSN," adds Scott Newnam, CEO of GoldPocket Interactive. "Their focus on providing the best customer service shines through every part of the company, including their work on interactivity. This new application will create a completely interactive shopping experience surpassing the limitations of traditional television retail. This product really highlights the potential impact of interactive television on the future of retail."

"HSN is constantly searching for innovative ways to advance the business of TV shopping," says Peter Ruben, HSN's Executive Vice President of Affiliate Relations. "This new initiative is a tremendous step forward in the introduction of interactive commerce to the television industry and we look forward to working closely with our distribution partners to realize its full potential."
