North American Football League Selects Ticketmaster's TicketWeb; Agreement for Enhanced Ticketing and Marketing Services

Tuesday, July 19, 2005 - 02:30

In a groundbreaking move for the North American Football League (NAFL), it announced today that it has selected TicketWeb™, a service of Ticketmaster, as the League's authorized ticketing provider. Under the multi-year agreement, TicketWeb will provide online ticketing services for NAFL games as well as advance ticketing services for NAFL teams.

"This is a big deal for us," said NAFL President, Rob Licopoli. "This is the first of several strategic moves that will demonstrate the buying power of the NAFL. Our immediate fan base represents over $3.7 billion in consumer spending and we have identified 50 industries that we want to tap into and this is one of them. This deal has the potential to generate over $5.6 million in ticket sales for the NAFL."

"We are very pleased to be selected as the NAFL's official ticketing service," said Dan Teree, Vice President of Ticketmaster and Chief Operating Officer of TicketWeb. "The League is committed to promoting itself in new ways and this agreement will enable fans all over the country to conveniently buy tickets and connect with their favorite NAFL teams. We look forward to bringing our online marketing and ticketing services to the NAFL to help them deliver continual growth each season."

NAFL's official season kicked off July 9 and the league's Championship game will be played at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex on November 12, 2005.
