Pronto.com and Channel Intelligence Announce Product Level (SKU) Bidding for Participating Merchants on Pronto.com

NEW YORK and CELEBRATION, Fla., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Pronto.com™, an Operating Business of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI) and Channel Intelligence Inc., a partner company of Internet Capital Group (NASDAQ: ICGE), have teamed-up to launch Product Level Bidding, addressing an important issue facing online retailers.

According to retailer feedback collected by Pronto over the last nine months, nearly one in two online retailers manage their return on investment (ROI) on comparison shopping engines by removing underperforming products or categories of products when the ROI fails to meet retailer target levels. Retailers desire to have all of their products listed on shopping sites, but current broad taxonomy-based rate card pricing does not facilitate the level of accuracy in margin management required by retailers to do so. Greg Stevens, Chief Revenue Officer at Pronto.com reports, "Retailers need to manage their shopping campaigns like their search campaigns -- at a very granular level. This means a robust toolset is needed to facilitate SKU level bidding by retailers in order to effectively manage their margins across their entire product catalog."

Through a new custom integration, Pronto.com has enabled retailers using Channel Intelligence's (CI) SellCast™ Retailer Solutions to manage their cost-per-click bids for each product through CI's online self management tool that delivers a daily automated data feed to Pronto.com.
