Pronto.Com Introduces Industry-First Aggregated Product Reviews, Adds New Comparison Shopping Features

Pronto.comâ„¢, an operating business of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI), today announced that it has introduced industry-first aggregated product reviews, new search filtering capabilities and an increase in its proprietary search index to over 50 million products, further enhancing its position as the most comprehensive comparison shopping engine. The company also announced its official consumer launch in time for the holiday shopping season and after 10 months of extensive consumer beta testing.

Pronto.com is the first comparison-shopping site to aggregate millions of user-generated product reviews from across the Web. Currently, most comparison-shopping engines only provide product reviews contributed from their limited base of users. By contrast, Pronto.com's proprietary search technology identifies millions of product reviews posted across the Web, maps them with exact matches of products in the Pronto index and analyzes the positive or negative sentiment contained in the reviews. The aggregated product scores are then converted into a percentage called the Pronto Product Rating, with 100% being the highest, and displayed to consumers alongside the product search results. Currently, hundreds of thousands of products searched by Pronto.com include the new user-generated reviews with more being added daily.

New Filtering Features

Not only does Pronto.com have the most products at the lowest prices, but now they're easier to find. The Web site now has also incorporated innovative technology to allow users to quickly refine their search criteria and see immediate results. Consumers can filter through merchants and products in real-time using Pronto.com's interactive filtering modules that make it easy to narrow a search by "Category", "Merchant", "Brand" and "Color/Material." Additional consumer filtering options will be added over the holiday season.
