Monday, July 26, 2004 - 05:59

Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company, and Savvis Center and the St. Louis Blues announced today the signing of a multi-year extension to their existing ticketing agreement. As part of the agreement, Ticketmaster will continue to sell and distribute tickets for Savvis Center's many events, including St. Louis Blues games, concerts, ice shows, family shows and sporting events.

"Savvis Center and the St. Louis Blues have been committed to bringing the residents of St. Louis the finest athletic and cultural events in the country," said Dennis Petrullo, senior vice president and general manager, Savvis Center. "Ticketmaster's advanced technology is the perfect fit for St. Louis' premier entertainment facility."

Petrullo added that Ticketmaster's Archtics® ticketing platform, which supports the entry control system AccessManager, has been instrumental in reducing long lines by giving Savvis Center the ability to validate tickets in real-time, expedite replacement of lost tickets, eliminate wrong day event tickets and authenticate event admissions. In addition, Ticketmaster's email ticket delivery option ticketFast® has been widely adopted by Savvis Center patrons who choose to print their tickets at home rather than wait for the mail or at Will Call.

"Ticketmaster is a terrific partner for the Blues, but what's more important is Ticketmaster continues to upgrade its services and provide more tools for Blues fans," said Jim Woodcock, senior vice president, marketing and communications, Savvis Center and the St. Louis Blues. "Ticketmaster has dramatically improved the function of purchasing tickets, managing ticket accounts and even using tickets here at Savvis Center. That's good for our business and great for our customers."
